Ethique Volumizing Shampoo Bar, Sweet and Spicy

A few months back, I switched my daily shampoo to Ethique shampoo bar in sweet & spicy. I have heard about shampoo bars being on the rise in popularity, but was afraid of trying out this type of shampoo. Obviously I felt nervous since the only type of shampoo I have used was liquid!

I've used L'Oreal shampoo before and would sometimes drift to try out new fancy salon shampoos, but never felt quite satisfied. I have really fine, straight, limp hair that also gets oily on my scalp, but dry in rest of my hair.

I first heard about shampoo bars and felt intrigued because it is environment-friendly compared to shampoo bottles. If only I could find one that works for my hair, I thought and started to do my research.

This particular brand is really good for its range of products. I use their sweet & spicy version which is their volumizing shampoo for fine hair. I've been using this for the past year and I can say I'm never going back to liquid shampoo! This adds shine and volume to my hair and I notice how healthier my hair looks. The cinnamon smell is minimal, so nothing to worry about if you're sensitive to smell. I haven't noticed any build up either, which seems to be a chronic problem with shampoo bars. No need to use apple cider vinegar afterwards!

I've recently started to give their conditioner a try as well! I'll report back on how I feel about this, but so far so good.

The downside of Ethique shampoo is that they do break easily if you keep this in your shower, which leads to losing a huge chunk of your shampoo. I'd say keep this in a dry place and only bring it in when you're taking shower. They also sell a specific container for your bar, but I haven't felt the need for it yet. Just use your regular soap container.
